Reaffirms Priority Plans to Launch Canadian Green Hydrogen Production Facility in 2024; American Production Plant to Follow Later This Year
Brossard, Quebec, APRIL 23, 2024 – CHARBONE HYDROGEN CORPORATION (TSXV: CH; OTCQB: CHHYF; FSE: K47) (the “Company” or “CHARBONE”), North America’s only publicly traded pure-play green hydrogen company, announced that it has received a signed, non-binding offer for the sale of two hydro projects in Vermont and Wisconsin.
The terms of the offer remain confidential but specify that CHARBONE would sell 100% of its equity interests in the two hydro projects to an undisclosed renewable power producer for a combined valuation of US$725,000. The parties have agreed to collaborate using their best efforts to enter into a binding purchase offer with respect to the sale within the next 30-60 days.
News of this potential asset sale follows CHARBONE’s recent announcement that essential storage infrastructure is being transported to its flagship green hydrogen production plant site near Montreal, with plans to be operational in the second half of 2024. Additionally, the company has also announced its intent to launch a second North American green hydrogen production project in the Detroit, Michigan area this year.
“We are pleased to receive an offer that recognizes the inherent value of these assets,” said Dave Gagnon, CEO of CHARBONE. “As CHARBONE has established a decentralized, energy opportunistic approach to its green hydrogen production strategy, our ability to tap into any renewable energy sources connected to the grid allows us to move quickly, reduce costs and begin production. The sale of these assets will also provide the Company with additional, non-dilutive resources to advance our near-term plant development portfolio, while also evaluating other opportunities to add further projects to an already active modular green hydrogen plant development roadmap.”
The Sorel-Tracy Green Hydrogen Project will serve as the Company’s flagship facility, giving Charbone a first-mover advantage with production starting in the second half of 2024. Following a phased approach and gradually accelerating to produce approximately 200 kg per day once reaching initial full capacity, the facility targets industrial uses. It replaces gray hydrogen with a clean, reliable, renewable alternative to hydrogen produced from fossil fuels. Charbone is now preparing to set up a delivery schedule for the other production and storage equipment.

Brossard, Quebec, March 18, 2024 – CHARBONE HYDROGEN CORPORATION (TSXV: CH; OTCQB: CHHYF; FWB: K47) (the “Company” or “CHARBONE”), North America’s only publicly traded pure-play green hydrogen company, today announced it has engaged US Capital Global as strategic financial advisor for a potential multi-million-dollar financing initiative. Headquartered in Quebec, Canada, CHARBONE is at the forefront of developing innovative solutions in green hydrogen and modular plant production that leverage renewable energies for a sustainable future.
With global headquarters in San Francisco and principal offices in Dallas, Philadelphia, Miami, New York, Las Vegas, London, and Dubai, US Capital Global is a full-service global private financial group with an established track record in corporate finance, asset management, and capital formation services. All private placements, securities, and other related US Capital Global Securities, LLC services are offered by the group’s FINRA-member, SEC-registered broker-dealer affiliate, US Capital Global Securities LLC.
The transition to a low-carbon future necessitates a shift from carbon-based fossil fuels to clean energy alternatives. Green hydrogen, produced through water electrolysis using renewable energy, emerges as a promising solution in today’s energy markets. According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), achieving global net-zero emissions by 2050 may require substantial investments in green hydrogen production. Projections from Precedence Research indicate that the green hydrogen market will reach $89.2 billion by 2030, highlighting significant growth potential.
Lisa Terk, Senior Vice President at US Capital Global, expressed her enthusiasm for supporting CHARBONE, remarking, “Green hydrogen is swiftly emerging as a dependable alternative in the quest towards decarbonization and clean energy transition. When produced using renewable electricity, green hydrogen could be an invaluable tool to decarbonize sectors which are difficult to electrify. Many industrial processes such as steelmaking and fueling medium and heavy transport may benefit from green hydrogen in the not-too-distant future – leaving a lighter footprint with very low carbon emissions. CHARBONE’s mission is to provide green hydrogen using clean technologies that foster value for all stakeholders and advance long-term sustainability. We take great pride in backing this company from my hometown of Montreal.”
Dave B. Gagnon, Chairman and CEO of CHARBONE, underscored the Company’s commitment to a 100% green hydrogen future: “We have plans to develop modular green hydrogen plants across North America and have earmarked 16 projects in the US and Canada for this purpose, the first of which is expected to be production-ready in mid-2024. Our green hydrogen focus is a targeted response to the rising demand from industrial customers and manufacturers in the US and Canada. Our aim is to lead the charge in decarbonization by transforming existing industrial users from dirty hydrogen to green hydrogen.”

Brossard, Quebec, December 4, 2023 – CHARBONE HYDROGEN CORPORATION (TSXV: CH, OTCQB: CHHYF, FWB:K47) (“Charbone”) is pleased to announce that it has executed a Memorandum of Understanding (the “MOU”) as of December 1, 2023 with Michigan’s Oakland County Economic Development Department (the “OCED”) that will set the stage for Charbone’s first green hydrogen facility in the United States. Oakland County is the home of dozens of major automotive companies including numerous world headquarters, North American headquarters, and R&D facilities.
The executed MOU between the parties will provide Charbone with a strong local partner for negotiations with local authorities, support in the final site selection process, project development and permitting support for activities related to its first facility in the United States, and assistance developing a regional ecosystem and hub. OCED will support Charbone alongside other stakeholders such as the Detroit Regional Partnership (DRP) and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC). The aforementioned partners have already provided extraordinary support to Charbone in recent months by arranging multiple meetings with automotive OEM’s, local stakeholders, and future potential hydrogen users. Charbone aims to develop a network of green hydrogen production facilities in the North American market and has already announced four facilities in Canada, including one already under construction in Quebec.
“This MOU with Oakland County located in the North American hearth of the auto manufacturing industry is tremendous and exciting milestone for Charbone as it positions us as a new player and leader in the development and construction of modular and scalable production facilities in Detroit in what has been consider to be the cradle of the automaking in North America,” said Dave B. Gagnon, Chairman and CEO of Charbone. “Charbone’s team will work hard to propose a project consistent with the decarbonization and sustainability objectives and goals of the Oakland County, Michigan and the country, and I must add that we are really happy with the support and the welcome that our project has been receiving and the relationship that we have built”.
“The potential that Charbone Hydrogen Corp. brings to Oakland County and Michigan is exciting on so many fronts. The green hydrogen facility will bolster our efforts to expand environmentally friendly mobility options for the automotive industry,” said Oakland County Executive Dave Coulter. “This is a perfect example of how collaboration on a local, state and federal level can help produce an international agreement that holds so much promise.”
